Player Divisions

Big Willow Baseball emphasizes its house leagues, where players are organized into divisions based on grade or age level, and then into equally balanced teams for house league play. The house league promotes equal participation and fun for all players. The house season begins in April and ends around July 4th. Big Willow Baseball also offers tournament teams to provide an opportunity for certain players and families to enjoy additional baseball and participate in 3 or 4 competitive weekend traveling tournaments in the Twin Cities area. Separate teams are formed for 12-, 11- and 10-year olds, based on separate tryouts. Tournament team participation is contingent on continued good standing with Big Willow house teams. Big Willow's divisions are summarized in the following table. Players generally play at their grade level, but they may elect to play at their "league age" level, determined on May 1 of each year.
