Big Willow Concession Stand Procedures and Policies

The concession stand at Big Willow is not only a source of income for our association it is also a way to involve the families with the functions of the association. It is very important that all the families care about the success of the concession stand. To ensure a successful year the Board has established the following policies and procedures for the concession stand.

Diane Lehman and Laura Condon are the Managers of the Concession Stand.

    • Each family will need to fulfill one 3 hour shift per player in the concession stand. Tournament team- players’ families may have additional obligations depending on the season tournaments played at Big Willow.
    • Opening/Closing instructions are posted in the concession stand.  PLEASE read when you get there.
    • Each family will submit one $100 deposit per player. If you did not send in one $100 deposit per player, you will need to give your Team Parent a check to turn in prior to the start of the season.
    • Treat tickets - the value of a treat ticket is $1.00 and can be redeemed for $1.00 worth of merchandise in the concession stand. It has been customary that a player in uniform only may redeem their treat ticket for a hot dog, brat or slice of pizza. The player must be in uniform and only one ticket can be used for a meal item.  If a player has another ticket from a missed game it will be worth $1.00 of concession items only
    • Only one coach per team is exempt from working a concession stand shift.  Teams with multiple coaches must determine who will take the exemption.
    • Assistant coaches are required to complete the concession stand hours.
    • If you have questions regarding opening or closing the concession stand please feel free to ask. The coaches as well as the field workers are familiar with what to do. We can also meet anyone who feels they need the help, just call Laura (952.846.8646) or Diane (612.839.3931) prior to your shift and we can meet you there.
    • Closing the concession stand means cleaning it! If you choose not to clean you may forfeit your deposit. Make sure the person you hire knows that they are expected to clean the concession stand prior to leaving.
    • Stocking pop, Power Aid and water is very helpful to the people working in the concession stand.
    • While working concessions, you may help yourself to a fountain pop, but please purchase all other items and per health department requirements, please do not eat while working in the concession stand – step outside or go in the back storage room.
    • Only people working concessions should be in the concession stand and no children are allowed in the concession stand. NO EXCEPTIONS
